SAMI-Aid was a Bay Area telemedicine platform focused on creating a more modern and approachable healthcare experience through digital technology. Designed during a pivotal moment for remote healthcare adoption, the platform aimed to simplify access to virtual care, COVID-19 testing workflows, and patient communication through an engaging web-based experience. Jossi partnered with the SAMI-Aid team to help evolve the company’s digital identity through UX/UI design across landing pages, product experiences, and web application interfaces.

Healthcare platforms often struggle to create digital experiences that feel both trustworthy and engaging. SAMI-Aid approached us looking to differentiate themselves within the rapidly growing telemedicine space through a product experience that felt modern, youthful, and visually compelling without sacrificing usability or clarity. The challenge was creating a scalable design system and user experience that could support a growing digital healthcare platform while avoiding the repetitive and overly clinical feel common throughout the industry.

Josiah collaborated closely with the SAMI-Aid team to expand upon the company’s existing brand identity and develop a more playful, energetic, and approachable digital experience across multiple touchpoints. Our work included UX/UI design for marketing landing pages, web application interfaces, and patient-focused healthcare flows, including an advanced COVID-19 testing experience developed during the height of the pandemic. The resulting product experience balanced accessibility, usability, and visual storytelling to help position SAMI-Aid as a forward-thinking player in the telemedicine space.

Coronavirus Risk Assessment

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the SAMI-Aid team rapidly developed a digital Coronavirus Risk Assessment experience to help users better understand symptoms, exposure risks, and next-step recommendations. Josiah collaborated on the UX/UI design of the assessment flow, focusing on accessibility, clarity, and creating a clean, approachable healthcare experience.

Pricing & Conversion Strategy

As telemedicine adoption accelerated during the pandemic, SAMI-Aid needed a pricing experience that clearly communicated value while standing apart from traditional urgent care and emerging digital healthcare competitors. Josiah designed conversion-focused pricing interfaces that simplified comparisons, highlighted accessibility benefits, and reinforced the platform’s approachable and modern brand identity.

Banner & Promotional Design

The SAMI-Aid project also included the design of branded promotional assets used across digital campaigns and platform experiences. Josiah helped expand the company’s visual identity through playful layouts, refined typography, and modern healthcare-focused branding that felt approachable, cohesive, and visually distinct within the telemedicine space.
